Emily Van Ostrand, RBT
My name is Emily Van Ostrand and I'm a Registered Behavior Technician. I was born and raised in Missoula, I enjoy rockhounding, gardening, and tending to my small jungle of houseplants when I'm not on the lake. During high school I was a peer tutor for the special education program and fell in love with working with people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Afterwards, I worked in a group home for adults with disabilities for 8 years, among other second jobs as a barista, preschool teacher, and full time student. In 2024, I became an RBT at a clinic in Missoula. I saw the benefits of early intervention, how fun it can be for the kids, and the techs! Even on the tough days, it didn't feel like 'work'. I'm on track to graduate with my Psychology BA at the University of Montana in December of 2025, and working with the kids at the clinic solidified my decision to become a BCBA. I'm excited to continue my career in ABA and look forward to learning from the incredible staff at ATC.
